D.I.Y Fake Tanning Tips

Hello there fellow fake tanners. Using all kinds of fake tan related goods for years now i feel i have picked up on a couple of the tricks of the trade, to avoid orange palms and peeling disasters. So here they are a few hints, tips and rules to tan, feel free to comment on anything i have left out.

1. Always exfoliate. Before you tan don't forget to exfoliate your skin. This takes off all the dead cells and avoids skin/tan peeling plus makes the tan last longer. You can buy a exfoliating body scrub which will work or a loofah (a rough sponge).

2.Use body lotion with instant tan. Instant tan normally dries too fast and becomes blotchy. If you mix inn body lotion with the tan it doesn't dry as fast and allows for a smooth and easy application. The lotion causes the tan to become lighter so buy a darker one than normal.

3. Fake tan glove. A glove is essential so buy one! It helps avoid getting orange palms and gives a smoother blotch free application. Just remember to wash yours when done.

4. Undoing mistakes. The easiest way to get rid of blotchy tan and orange palms is bicarbonate soda. Wet the area you want fixed and rub in the soda, this will undo the tan. There is bicarbonate soda in whiting toothpaste so if desperate it will do as a replacement. Squeezed lemon juice and salt mixed together will do as well, you just have to scrub your skin with it.

Hope these tips help, all comments welcome
